And Why Won’t He Tell Kentuckians How He Would Vote on the Largest Budget in History?
In the Senate, you do not get to vote “maybe.” Yet that is apparently the position that Bruce Lunsford seeks to advocate.
On Wednesday the Senate will vote on a one trillion dollar budget, and it has been nearly two weeks since Bruce was asked if he would vote for or against this measure. So again, Kentuckians demand to know: Would Bruce vote for or against this spending blueprint which is likely to enjoy unanimous Democratic support?
Bruce did concede that he opposes Senator McConnell’s long-term plan to lower energy costs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. More than 6,000 people have signed up to support Senator McConnell’s plan at www.TeamMitch.com/energy.
The McConnell plan would:
•Support environmentally responsible exploration in ANWR
•Allow limited deep sea exploration off the U.S. Coast
•Repeal bureaucratic barriers to innovation to encourage development of less expensive energy sources such as oil from shale and new hybrid batteries
•Encourage development of coal-to-liquid fuels using America’s most abundant energy resource to replace Middle Eastern oil
•Promote new conservation and “green” fuel sources.
Bruce Lunsford wants to join the ranks of Senate Democrats, and their latest proposal is Barbara Boxer’s climate change legislation that has drawn bi-partisan support. Where does Bruce Lunsford stand? Would he vote for or against this plan supported by his Democratic leadership?
McConnell campaign representative Justin Brasell stated, “If Bruce is not too busy jetting to Dubai this week or to his Chicago or Arizona residences, maybe he can do Kentuckians the courtesy of taking a position on this critical issue facing the country.”
