Leader McConnell was a guest on Dennis Miller’s radio program today where they talked about the need to maintain a strong presence in the Middle East and the absurdity of the MoveOn attack ad against our military. Listen to the Leader's comments by clicking the attached file.

It has been four days since we called on the radical groups funded by MoveOn.org to return their money as a suitable protest against the slandering of General David Petraeus. So far, not a peep has been uttered. MoveOn bought an ad in the New York Times in which it accused this Four-Star General of lying to Congress—an outrageous and slanderous action that has drawn harsh criticism from across the country. Unbelievably, many on the left have refused to criticize the ad—so deep is their fear of the radical wing of their party. But it gets worse. Now we learn that MoveOn got as much as a $100,000 discount from the New York Times to run their attack ad. Americans are justifiably outraged, as am I. Again, I call on the groups using MoveOn’s money to run attack ads in Kentucky to return those funds immediately. I would hope that we could all agree that we should not be slandering the very soldiers who are protecting our freedoms. |
