Senator McConnell was a guest on Hugh Hewitt’s radio program yesterday where they talked about our progress in the War on Terror, funding our troops, low Congressional approval ratings, the unpopularity of new taxes, and a number of other topics.

Senator McConnell announced today that his first 30-second ads of the 2008 campaign will start tonight in the Louisville and Lexington markets.  The ads, entitled "Only Two", highlight a few of his many accomplishments for Kentucky and reminds Kentuckians that only two people from the Bluegrass State have served as their Party's leader in the Senate -- Senator McConnell and Paducah-area Democrat Alben Barkley.

This holiday season Kentuckians have yet another reason to be thankful.  Congress has approved a bill which would finally rid Kentucky of the dangerous weapons stored at Blue Grass Army Depot.  I'm proud to have worked hand-in-hand with Craig Williams and others to work on achieving this goal six years ahead of schedule.  You can watch a video of our work together here.
