“He’s a lock”

Those were the words of Democratic strategist Morris Reid when he was asked about Senator McConnell’s 2008 Senate race.  But he did not stop there, Reid (a former Clinton White House staffer) went on to say about McConnell, “Right now, he appears to be one of the strongest Republicans up for election.”

Even The Courier-Journal in its article this morning could not help but reach the same conclusion that despite unprecedented attack ads, Senator McConnell remains very popular.  Kentuckians understand that as only the 2nd Kentuckian ever to lead his party in the Senate, Mitch McConnell has a unique opportunity which will benefit the Commonwealth for years to come.
