Yesterday's Bowling Green Daily News featured a story about two remarkable men. Myo Thein was a freedom fighter in Burma for 16 years before coming to Kentucky. Khin Maung Nyunt is president of a Burmese veteran's association in Bowling Green.

Both men have important perspectives on the continuing brutality and repression occurring in that country. I encourage you to take a minute to read the entire story here.

This issue has long been of personal importance to me. You can watch a video of Senator Dianne Feinstein and me expressing our support for the Burmese people here.
