Fred Barnes has an interesting op-ed today on The Weekly  
Standard's blog outlining the numerous negative personal attacks  
liberal groups have launched against Leader McConnell.  Despite  
spending countless hours and dollars, Barnes concludes:

    The television blitz has failed miserably. McConnell's approval in  
    Kentucky was 54 percent when the Louisville Courier-Journal conducted  
    its Bluegrass Poll in February. And when the findings of a new  
    Bluegrass Poll were released several weeks ago, his approval among  
    Kentuckians was ... 54 percent.

Barnes also notes Leader McConnell enjoys higher favorable ratings in  
Kentucky than Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid does in Nevada.
